 A Buyer's Representative is compensated when a purchase is completed, and paid by the seller's listing agent.  There are some variations to this general rule for clients with special needs, but generally, this is without cost to the buyer.  When the seller has representation, clearly, the buyer should have their own expert representing them as well.
